UPDATE: 12/3/13 - Molly is no longer at risk. She has a foster home and is saying good-bye to shelter life.

Once her skin condition is cleared up, she will be available to adopt.  A shout out to our friends at Our Pack for rescuing this wonderful girl!

Here is a recent video of Miss Molly! This sweet goober still needs a temporary or permanent home ASAP.

She was a day away from euthanasia.

While she was granted a 'stay of execution', we only have a short time to find Molly a foster home to save her life.

This friendly, shy girl has some hair loss due to demodectic mange. Her condition is treatable with some medicated baths and it is not contagious. With proper care she will be recovered in no time!

Molly needs a refresher on her leash skills but she is easy to handle and loves people. She thinks she's a lap dog, too. She is a petite Pittie girl and a youngster at 1 1/2 years old.

We aren't sure how she is with other dogs but Molly showed no signs of aggression and didn't even bark when a few pups passed by during her photo shoot.

Can you help us save this sweet soul by providing a temporary or permanent home? If so, fill out our application here.

Needs a Home ~ Needs a Name

FINAL UPDATE: 11/21/13 - Autumn was adopted and has gone to her forever home! Her patience paid off and she will have the life she deserves.
Picture
UPDATE: 11/18/13 - Autumn has settled into her new foster home. Foster mom, Nicole, says that she's enjoying exploring her new surroundings, eating well and has a laid back easy going personality.

UPDATE: 11/12/13 - Her name is Autumn! She will be leaving the shelter very soon and recovering in a loving foster home. Once she's healthy again, Autumn will be available to adopt from St. Francis Animal Protection Society.
Picture
This darling three year old girl has lived in a stainless steel cage at the San Jose shelter for the last four months in the sick ward.

She must think she has been forgotten. Her only human contact is when the shelter staff brings her food and water or cleans her litter box. She has no access to the wonderful shelter cat volunteers. No playtime with the feather toy. No loving pets or kind words. She has no name and no home.

Why is she living this bleak existence? She has an upper respiratory infection which is a common kitty cold. Cats under stress in a scary shelter environment often become ill. We've seen it time and time again: once they get into a caring and comfy home, they recover fast!

Picture
Unfortunately, this sweetheart's time is running out. She needs to find a temporary or permanent home immediately so she can recover and get on with her life.

Want to show her that she has not been forgotten? Give her a temporary or permanent home! Fill out our foster application here. Got questions? Email us at [email protected].

And, she needs a name! Got any suggestions?

UPDATE: 11/9/13 - We are relieved! Big Billy has been rescued by 13th Street Cat Rescue. He will be rehabilitated and available to adopt when he is healthy again.

My name is Billy and I am morbidly obese. I weigh 32 pounds.

Please do not be mad at my person. She is elderly and could no longer properly care for me. She is devastated that I was taken from her and it would make her day if I were to find my furever home.

While I am a little scared and depressed here at San Jose Animal Care Center, I am a friendly boy who likes to chat with people. I've always been an indoor kitty and I use my litter box like a champ.

At only four years old, I am looking for a new start in life. I need someone to give me tough love to get my weight under control. I've been told that there's a great program over at Pinnacle Animal Hospital called the "Chub Club". I think that would be a great way to get me on a diet and exercise plan that fits my needs. They've helped other cats and dogs before me obtain their weight loss goals.

I'm up to date on my shots, microchipped and available to adopt! If you want to help a fine young feline out, come ask to meet me, Billy A873537, at San Jose Animal Care Center located at 2750 Monterey Road in San Jose.

I need to get out of here ASAP and begin my weight loss journey before it's too late. We could watch "The Biggest Loser" on the couch together and get inspired.

If you have questions about me, please email my friends at [email protected]
