PUPDATE: The male pup was rescued! The female was named Pupcake and after healing, she was put up for adoption at San Jose Animal Care Center. She has since been adopted!
We all know it. Unfortunately there are some truly despicable people out there. Thankfully there are also many heroes!
On November 16th a good Samaritan saw two Pit pups in distress and called Animal Control. When the Animal Services Officers arrived, they found the dogs tied to a tree by a vacuum cord. They were emaciated, flea ridden and their legs were bound.

Despite their trauma, these young pups are very friendly and love people. The tan brindle male has a mild heart murmur and is at risk of euthanasia. He needs a sponsoring rescue organization and a temporary foster home immediately. Many people and animals live long healthy lives with murmurs! The female is recovering nicely and has already gained five pounds under the shelter's care.

A loving home would help the dogs' healing - physically and mentally. If you can foster one or both dogs, please fill out our app HERE. Rescues may email the shelter at [email protected]. Their ID numbers are A923149 for the female and A923148 for the male. If you have questions, please email us at [email protected].
