- the animal is stressed or fearful of being in a shelter environment
- the animal is too young or underweight to be placed up for adoption
- the animal needs time to heal from an injury or illness
- the animal has been surrendered and rescue organization may not have room to house
Saying 'Goodbye'
When the time comes, it may be difficult to say good bye to your fostered animal. But, consider this: by fostering this animal, you have allowed the organization to save more animals, and you literally have saved your foster animal's life by giving him/her time to get ready for adoption, and a new life!
