Looking to add a pet to your household? Shelters First is an awareness campaign with the primary goal to encourage people to find their next pet at a shelter. In 2008, Shelters First formed the WeCARE alliance, a group of six shelters in Santa Clara County. Their priority is to find homes for shelter pets in Silicon Valley. These shelters are:

If you can not find your perfect pet after searching through these six shelters, let us know! We can help. Complete our short online form (one for a cat/kitten or one for a dog/puppy), and we will provide you with some recommendations of local pets looking for great homes. All breed requests are accepted!
